Smelly discharge with no infection.

I have a smelly discharge for about 2wks now, had a pap and they tell me I don't have any infection what so ever. But I still have that smell and i'm really shy about it. Its hard because im single and ive been dating this guy that i really like but i dont want to get that close because of it. Please help.

Hi!
If you were my patient, I would repeat your exam and do a wet mount.  You likely have bacterial vaginosis which is not a true infection, but does respond well to antibiotics, and I would probably prescribe those for you.
You can also try some things on your own, such as probiotics, yogurt with live cultures (Greek yogurt for example). One other option is for you to get one of the pH kits at the drug store.  If your vaginal pH is low it also suggests that you have BV and antibiotics would be indicated.
Hope this helps!
