Hello!
Thank you very much for your response!! I wont be able to get to see a doctor until middle of December..But right now I am on a bland diet which is helping the pain a little! Though I did get lots of diarrhea again this morning..
I will tell my husband what you have suggested, and hopefully I can go to the hospital sooner!
Thank you ever so much for your help & have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Tahmi
Hi Fran!
Yes I do, thank you! :)
I am waiting for a few weeks until my husband gets back from work to get this checked out!
But I also spoke with my sister's mother-in-law who is a nurse and she said it could be diverticulitis...And said to go on a bland diet for now, which consists of fruit, rice, toast, etc! Just to help for now until I can go to the hospital!
Thank you again for all your help|
HI,
Dont worry about the colonscopy it is not painful. You are put to sleep very lightly and very safely for a few minutes, you wont even know it is happening. I hope you feel better now after hearing that!!!!
Fran
Hello,
Thank you for your response! I will go as soon as possible.
A colonoscopy sounds painful, but I suppose is the best way to finding out what is wrong.
Hi sorry you are not feeling well, but please go to a gastro doctor for you are describing you might need a colonoscopy. Especially since you had a prior infection in your intestines.
Hope you feel better soon
Hi!
It sounds like you may have had an episode of diverticulitis in June. Another alternative is colitis. In either event, if you were my patient, I would probably recommend a colonoscopy which is a procedure that would be done by a gastroenterologist.
A lot more information is needed too, such as samples of the stool for parasites, bacteria such as salmonella, and c difficile. Also probably a CT scan to rule out abcess, etc. and some blood work to check for anemia and white blood cell count ( as an indicator of infection). All in all, it would probably be best to start with your primary care doctor and get a referral to a gastroenterologist, and to do so relatively soon!
Good luck!
