need answers asap
Ok, I am 20 yrs old and recently was tested positive for strepp throat. I started taking the z-pack medicine on Sunday morning and by Sunday night I noticed my vagina was itching very, very bad. It was the same again on Monday. So Tuesday morning I put some Monistat cream on and it relieved the itching and was feeling alot better. Wednesday my boyfriend and I had sex and my vagina was really sore and hurt. I woke up today and I have these little bumps on and around my vagina, it is swollen and hurts. It is extremely painful to pee, it burns so bad and I cannot stand it. I really need some guidance on what this is or what to do. I do not have a doctor, nor money to go even if I did. If someome could please help me out on what is wrong and what I should do as soon as possible please.
Update: Got all my results back and everything was negative....and I was reading through all this and maybe I should of mentioned that it was just "oral sex" that me and my boyfriend have been having, didnt think it would be much of a difference (probly should of put that earlier and that he had a fever blister that I didnt know about which is why I said nothing like this had ever happened before and I knew it couldnt be an std) but I was just freaking out over an extremely bad yeast infection that got inflamed because of the allergic reaction to the two creams that I had put on it. hope that anyone reading this doesnt freak out because of this problem and the peeing does get better, take AZO and before you pee get some toilette paper and run it under cold water and dab it down there and do the same after you pee...oh and if you have discharge or it stays moist down there where a pad and it will help alot. and if you have swelling sleep with an ice bag down there and take motrin..just some stuff that I did and hope this helps and also clears up the air about the sex situation of why I thought it would be herpes. Hi, I just wanted to say that maybe you shouldn't do anymore reading on what it could be and just wait until your results come back. I totally understand that you are just looking for some answers, but sometimes it can raise our anxiety level, Making it worse, so just wait ok, if you need to talk, just write on here, I'll keep checking in to see how you are ok, rest,
I'm so glad that you went, and the urine test should show something, hopefully the time will go by fast for you , I can't believe the first doc didn't even look at you, actually i can believe it, its really awful , you should make a complaint toward him. Anyway, keep us all posted ok, hope your pain has been reduced , hang in there and try not to worry ok.
Update: I went to urgent care center today. I told the doctor everything and about how the other doctor did not even examine me. He had me do a pee test, which was extremely painfully awful but I did it. He said there was ALOT of bacteria in my urine and wanted to fully examine me to know how to diagnose me and what we're dealing with. I was in alot of pain already just because of having to pee but he took samples of me and sent them to the clinic and said they should know something within the next 48 hrs and he wasnt quite sure what it could be because I was so swollen. So he gave me a steriod shot telling me it should reduce the within the hour or so but that was 3 hrs ago and really no change. He also gave me three more pills of Fluconazole and a bottle of trimethoprim. Do you think my urine results will still be accurate and that medications will help because I am in alot of pain. I am laying in bed with an ice bag on my area to relieve the burning and pain, also hoping it might help a little bit with the swelling.
Its friday now and I went to the doctor, he did not examin me or look at my vagina, he just had me him everything that I wrote up in my original question. He said it sounds like a bad yeast infection and gave me nystatin cream to help the burning and a Fluconazole pill. I have discharge that is milkyish looking. The lips of my vagina are extremely swollen so bad that they stick out very far and hurt to the touch, I wont wear underwear just basketball shorts because anything that touches anywhere down there hurts. The bumps first looked like a rash from me itching so hard and from monistat cream but then now there seems to be more and they are a whitish color and this discharge just keeps coming out and I cant stay dry down there. Im scared to put anymore of the cream on in fear that it will just add to the all the wetness and moisture thats already there. And my vagina and lips are so swollen then it couldnt even dry out if it wanted to because they are swelled up so much. I have been doing alot of reading over the past two days and am really freaking out bad I am scared, I have no idea what it could be and if it is more than just a yeast infection or not. The doctor told me that after taking the pill I should feel better within 3 days, well its the second day and nothing has changed.

Thank you for your comment. Is there anything I can do to ease the pain when I pee until I get to the doctor? And once I do get medicine from the doctor how long do you think I will still be burning when I pee? and also my left lip down there is really swollen and big, im going to try to go to the doctor today but would just like to know what to expect because I have been freaking out all night thinking it was the first outbreak of herpes, then an allergic reaction, and I just would like a little pain relief until then.
I feel so bad for you, but you got an answer from a doctor, so this is good, do what she said ok, don't worry about the money, just go to the er and take care of it, don't make yourself suffer anymore, you must go,
I have been doing ALOT of reading all night, and i think it is possible for me to be allergic to the monistat cream. But its been another day and I have to pee soo bad but refuse to let myself pee because it burns so bad, and my vagina is still really swollen and red. HELP!!! I just really need a releif to pee because I feel like my bladder is about to explode and it hurts but I wont pee because the pain of peeing is excuriating. Like I want to scream and I was crying last night trying to pee in the shower because of the burning. Could it just be the yeast infection and im allergic to the cream?!

I suspect that you have had a reaction to the Monistat. I beleive that you correctly diagnosed yourself with a yeast infection after taking the antibiotics, but then had a reaction (dermatitis) to the cream. If so, a topical steroid cream such as Hydrocortisone may be helpful. Often the over-the-counter ones are not strong enough though, unfortunately. If your symptoms continue, best to see a doctor now and set up a payment plan.

How can I numb the area?
omg, really, a staff infection from shaving???? that is awful, better than an std, I'm sorry I brought that up, it sounded like one, unfortuanately I know , I had one, and I'm so so glad you don't, better get to doc's. Feel better, maybe you could numb the area before going pee.
Did it hurt really bad to pee?? It is unbearable for me, I tried sitting in the bath thinking that would make it not burn as bad but it didnt help.
You commented on my post and it sounds like our problem is pretty similar. I had also contracted strepp throat. That why I initially went to the doctor but while there I had them look at my downstairs and was told it was staph infection from shaving!

That doesn't sound good. You may have contracted an std, you defenitely need to see a doctor, if you have to go to the emergency room, you can work on a payment plan to pay the hospital bill, and there are programs that pay for your bill if you qualify. Don't wait you don't want it to get worse, whatever it may be. Good luck .
