spotting to a very light period

I am a 56 years old and my last regular period was in January of 09.  In April of 09 spotted for few days.  July of this year for ten days i went from spotting to a light period and in between i would have this heavy gush and very dark .  Went to my doctor, had ultrasound and biospy because she thought i had uterine polyps but the results were negative to any cancer. I had a second ultrasound and there was nothing there..

Its now Dec. 4 and for two days i have this light to spotting period.  Should i be concerned and call my doctor?

Thanks, truly neurotic..

Hi!
Yes, I think you should let your doctor know.  If you were my patient, I would ask you to come in for another ultrasound.  I probably wouldn't repeat the biopsy if it has been done within the year (I think that's what your post says!)  UNLESS the ultrasound shows some new findings.
If you make your appointment now, you might be able to get it covered under 2010's deductible (insurance).
Good luck!
