D&C after miscarriage 11 weeks ago. Still no period and definatley not pregnant

I'm 35 yrs old and I had a D&C after a blighted ovum on the 14th Dec 06 (I thought I was 11 weeks but the scan showed the pregnancy had stopped developing at 7 weeks). I haven't had a period since the D&C. In Jan and Feb at the time I would have expected my period I've suffered very bad 'period' pain but no period. On the 1st Feb 07 an ovulation test showed positve but still no period (but I had bad 'period' pains 14 days after ov test showed positive) I'm worried the D&C has scarred my uterus and this is why my period has not returned. Is it normal to wait this long for a period after a miscarriage, 11 weeks so far? I've had a quantative pregnancy blood test done at the Dr's this week and it was defiantley negative (numbers below 2) so I know I'm not pregnant (even though I've had all the symptoms, dizziness, tearfulness, sickness, aching boobs since the miscarriage).

I would be grateful for your advice. My GP has just told me not to worry, which is very difficult.

sometimes it just takes awhile especially if you start on birth control. I like the idea of the doc taking a look with the scope tho, you'll get a real visual of what's going on in there

There are several women on the women's forum that has had to take something to kick start their periods after a miscarriage.  I had one in March of last year due to a blighted ovum.  I decided not to ttc anymore right now so I got back on my bc pills.  At my 2 week post op check with my doctor after my D&C he told me it could be 4 to 6 weeks after that before I got my period.  I was going on vacation, so when it would have been time to start my pills after a period, I got checked to make sure I wasn't pregnant and started my bc pills.  I've been regular ever since.  You may want to post your question on the women's forum and see what you get from there.
