Hi Brown,
Thanks for your message.
Our doctor has done u/s and he got heart beat as 70bpm and he has done one more u/s after 10 min and again got 70bpm.
Could you please tell me whether this is fine ?
Regards

Hi!
Sorry to take so long to get back to you--I was sick yesterday and didn't go online.
All babies have what is known as heart rate decelerations from time to time. Most of the time they are nothing to worry about and the heart rate jumps right back up to normal. I'm assuming that it did during your scan?
What a mom needs to do is Kick counts--
there are lots of ways to do them but one goes like this:
lie down on your left side in a quiet place and concentrate on your baby.
Count 10 movements (they don't have to be hard kicks, but should be definite movements) You should have at least 10 movements in one hour. If not you should call your doctor who may want to do a test of the heart beat.
Babies can have naps that last for up to 20 minutes at a time--so sometimes you may need to wake your baby by jiggling your stomach, or wait for him to wake on his own.
Hope this helps!
Dr B
