First Time Spotting--Pregnant??

I'm really nervous about a possible pregnancy. My period came on the 9th of last month so I am expecting my period before or on the 9th of this month. I'm not sure how all this implantation and fertility goes but I do remember the dates that I had sex -I had sex on the 15th and on the 20th of October. When I went to the bathroom i saw a brownish/reddish spot in my panties and I got excited my period is here but it was only spotting--and I NEVER had spotting before. Never. So now I'm really concerned because every time I look up spotting it deals with pregnancy and I really can't get pregnant. What to do?

Hi!
Thanks so much for responding-- I got my period today so am I out of the woods? Because while doing research online I read that some women get a full period even when they are pregnant, but of course, everybody is different.

Hi!
I hope by now you have an answer to your question!  If you did a pregnancy test and it was negative, chances are that you are all right.  I usually recommend testing weekly until the period comes or the test is positive.  The spotting could be consistent with an implantation bleed, but it may have no significance at all.

Another option would be to have the test done at your doctor's office. Anytime there is abnormal bleeding in a cycle, I recommend checking in with your doctor anyway.

Next time you are in a similar situation, remember emergency contraception (PlanB).
It is available without prescription if you are over 18.

Good luck!

You had sex during your fertile days. When did you spot?
