Hi!
There are so many different abbreviations for things and some of them vary from region to region, so I am going to assume you mean hydrothermal ablation (?)
Please re-post if this is not correct.
If it is correct, then the answer is, an ablation may help to keep new endometriosis from forming, but will not help to keep old endometriosis from growing, recurring or otherwise causing problems. The mechanism by which endometriosis develops is not known for sure.
Enlarged ovaries need to be followed carefully with ultrasound. If they are enlarged due to endometriosis, then some of the traditional therapies might help--oral contraceptives, or depot lupron therapy.
Hope this helps!

Hi! I did have the Hyrothermal ablation. I was taking the BC pill due to very heavy and irregular periods. Since the procedure I have been able to stop taking the BC pill, but my ovary has been enlarged ever since. My last ultrasound said that the ovary was not as bad as the first one. My doctor was going to take that ovary out but due to the holidays she put me on the pill but it caused headaches so I quit taking them. The ovary still hurts even though it is not enlarged, what are my other options? Could the enlarged ovary be a symtom of endometriosis?
