Hello,
You should follow up with your doctor regarding the pain and back discomfort you are having. Additionally, you don't need your hCG level checked. If you have retained tissue (which is the most common complication of a dilation and evacuation) it may pass on its own or you may have prolonged bleeding/spotting, or develop an infection. If this is a concern a pelvic ultrasound might be helpful. The hCG may take 30-60 days to resolve and so it is possible to have a + test. Also, since you've resumed intercourse the positive test could reflect a new pregnancy.
Follow up with your doctor regarding these matters.
Best regards,

hi again, so another twist, I took a pregnancy test last night to see if it would come out negative, but it was positive. does that mean that there could probably be something left?
I would definitely inquire about your hcg levels... if nothing else sign a waiver at your local lab and you can get the results that way. I have had 4 m/c/ now and i am monitored very closely to check on hcg levels until they get down to 5. I was given two rounds of cytotec to rid of this last one and i go again for hcg levels tomorrow.. last wed they were still at 9000... praying tomorrow they are below 300 at least.. Good luck to you and check into some different dr options..
