Post LAVH, Bowel healed, still Left side pain?

Hello Doctor,  I had a LAVH in September which resulted in an severly infarcted bowel.  I just had a follow up colonoscopy which was normal, but still have pain along the path of the colon.  Some sharp stabbing pains and sometimes burning start up when I eat.  Could the outside of my bowel be scarred?

Hi!
Sorry to hear that you had such complications!  I hate it when that sort of thing happens to patients of mine!
You are probably absolutely correct that there are adhesions (scar tissue) around the bowel.  In fact, I would be surprised if there weren't any.
If the pains continue, or become unbearable, you might want to consult a general surgeon.
Good luck!
