missed period

hi i was supposed to have my period monday january 3rd and i havent had it yet and i have taken pregnancy test and they all said negative but me and my husband are trying to get pregnant we want to have a baby and i have had cramping and darkening nipples says my husband and i been dizzy and i was wondering if i could be pregnant.

Sorry to say if the tests say negative you are probably not pregnant.  The home tests are pretty accurate these days.  A blood test is slightly more accurate, so you might wish to ask your doctor to run one for you.  I usually do this for my patients.  Then, if that test is negative, I give them progesterone to help start their period for them.  I also usually advise them to start using ovulation predictor tests to see if they are truly ovulating each month -- if a woman doesn't ovulate, she won't get pregnant OR have her period.

i'm not an expert or anything, but i think you are pregnant. i'm the type of person that does tons of research on topics of interest and i just had a miscarriage so i was obsessed with pregnancy stuff. you have to wait until the 4th week or so before it's likely to show pregnant on the home tests. you may be able to go to your ob/gyn and see if they could test the levels in your blood. hope it helps. =) good luck and congrats if you are.
