HIV risk?

HI,

I am raising this question due to the stress that I had for the last two months and I thought you can provide me with an answer that makes me relieved.

Two months ago I had an oral and virginal sex with a sex worker in Malaysia where she used a condom for them. Yes, I know that it was a stupid thing to do and I learnt my lesson from this. However, after less than a day I had pain in my testicles which lasted for few hours. I took neorfin and it was gone and never came back. Then, I had some itchiness around my gentials and lasted for two or three weeks. I got worried of HPV or Herpes so I wented and did a full STD test (which was four weeks after the intercourse) and everything showed normal.

So all the skin-skin and the STD deases I guess I can put it on side (except HIV).

Now, I am soooo worried of HIV as I also started four weeks after the sexual intercourse a mild fever which was there for few days and sore throat which lasted for three or four weeks which I end up going to an ENT specalist. He gave me a strong antibiotics and helped me to get over it.

My question is quite simple which is the following:-
1) what is the probability for me having HIV as I read sooo many sites and each site has different data on the window period for HIV?

2) Do I require to do again another HIV test?

3) How effective condoms is when it is used correctly? Is it something lke 90% or 60%?

Hello,
Thank you very much for your post and welcome to our forum.
Let me answer your questions here below:

1) what is the probability for me having HIV as I read sooo many sites and each site has different data on the window period for HIV?

NONE (ZERO); YOU DID NOT PUT YOURSELF AT RISK AS YOU USED A CONDOM = SAFE SEX

2) Do I require to do again another HIV test?

YOU DID NOT NEED A HIV TEST AND YOU DO NOT NEED ANY MORE HIV TESTS

3) How effective condoms is when it is used correctly? Is it something lke 90% or 60%?

IF CONDOMS REMAIN IN PLACE, DO NOT BREAK AND ARE OF A REPUTABLE BRAND, THEY ARE 100% SAFE

Best wishes,
Dr José

Having an HIV test two months after any intercourse, is this good enough to depend on the result as I got negative result after two months of the intercourse.

I know I had a protected sex and that should be safe but want to really make it 100% clear but i start preapring for mariage as I am thinking to get married soon which I need to clear this before 100%.
