Possible HIV exposure from csw

Hello, I am afraid I have had possible exposure to HIV from a csw in the Netherlands, we had fully protected vaginal intercourse but just before the tip of my penis touched the outside of her vagina and she pulled back straight away, then a condom was used for the rest of the time.
Could you please tell me if this part when I touched her vagina was a risk, the vagina was very wet at the time also, also could you tell me if this would require a full test as I am in a relationship and don't want to put my partner at risk.

I know this may sound silly but also could you with the answers you give substantiate them with stats and facts on the issue.

Thanks very much in advance.

So I should get tested for bacterial infections, this I understand, and can you confirm I have no need to have an hiv test due to this?
Thanks very much for your answers.

Hello,
Thank you for your post.
A situation like the one described would not pose any significant risk of HIV infection.  To put yourself at risk, you would need to have had full unprotected penetration, and by briefly coming into contact with vaginal fluid, it would not be enough for you to become infected.  The estimated risk of HIV infection for a heterosexual man having unprotected vaginal penetration with a HIV positive woman is less than 0.1% per sexual encounter.  The status of the lady is unknown and it is far much more likely that she is negative, rather than positive.  Therefore I do not believe that you need to worry about HIV or any other blood-borne virus.  However if the head of your penis came into contact with fluid, you would have been at risk mainly of other STDs, bacterial infections like Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, NSU, etc.  These are common and much easier to transmit.
Best wishes,
Dr José
