Very worried about Hiv / other diseases

Hello,

I am a 29 year old heterosexual Australian male and I am now in Europe.

Last month I had vaginal intercourse with a greek female sex worker in London.
It was condom protected, I don't think the condom broke but what if it did?

About a week ago, I saw an asian sex worker in the red light district in amsterdam. I said that I just wanted a handjob because I was concerned about getting something nasty if I had sex with her.

She started giving me a handjob bareback and then gave me a blowjob with a condom. Now I know that this is a no risk exposure from what I have described, but now I am worried that I may have inadvertently caught something. It was in one of those dingy side alleys inside a dingy little room. I am worried that somehow, the bed may not have been clean or could have had syringes lying on it or something or that the condom was already used or the sex worker may have purposely tried to give me something by pricking her finger and then giving me a handjob. I know this sounds a bit paranoid but do sex workers or any females ever try to purposely infect a man with an infectious disease.

I am also worried about the fact that some people say that asian sex workers used to be male and then had a sex change. I am worried about this because if it was a man I understand that HIV is more prevalent in the gay community.

My penis and balls have been very tender and itchy the last 2 days also. I have also had a really bad flu.

I am very worried but I am not exactly after peace of mind I am after a risk assesment of what I have told you.

Can I ask you follow up questions to your reply. Don't worry though I won't ask you 75 follow up questions like some of the other people. Maybe just one or two.

I am particularly concerned about HIV - bu also any other diseases.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Tim

1. So do you think it is highly unlikely that I would have caught something?

2. Can a sex worker get blood or vaginal fluid on their hand and then when giving someone a handjob, the blood or vaginal fluid gets into the urethral opening?

3. Do people ever get stuck with needles when visiting brothels or red light disticts? - I am asking because often prostitution goes hand in hand with drug addicts.

4. I also understand that it is not mandatory in Amsterdam for sex workers to be regularly tested - Is this correct, and if so would it no doubt be more likely for the sex workers in Amsterdam to have more infectious diseases.

Any help would be greatly appeciated.

The condom stayed on with sex worker 1 = no risk.

I don't believe you were at risk with regard to sex worker 2. Obviously you can speculate about all sorts of things but I agree that you sound rather paranoid. I don't believe the majority of sex workers are homicidal maniacs. I can't comment on the state of her sheets.

best wishes, Sean
