Autoimmune disorder and HIV

Hi Drs

I had sex with african CSW in Middle East.
i tested HIV-1 PCR RNA at 7 days - non detected
I tested by 4th gen. ELisa at 7 days - negative
i tested by 4th gen. Eclia at 30days- negative
i tested by 4th gen. Eclia at 43days- negative
i tested by 4th gen. Eclia at 56days- negative
i tested by 4th gen. Eclia at 73days- negative
i tested by 4th gen. Eclia at 85days- negative

I'm concerned about HIV-2

i tested positive for ANA and found Vitamine D defficeincy.

does +ve ANA and Low Vitamine D affect my results?

I also removed my tonsils 18 years ago. took shots of peniciline for 6 months that time. then stopped.

also does taking 2 tablets of Histaloc 25mg "Promethazine hydrochloride" (i heared that Promethazine hydrochloride is immuno suppressant.)  for 3 days in the 4th week and again one tablet at 72nd day change any thing?

also does taking panadol or diclo+neubrion(B12) or fastum gel for pain in legs and neck changes anything?

are my test conclusive?

do i need further testing?

shall i retest at 90 days?

is 6 month testing required?

It is not possible you have HIV or ARS.  Something else is causing your symptoms.  See a doctor if they continue.

"no HIV 2 dna was done":  This doesn't matter. The antibody tests cover all HIV-2 infecitons.  Your tests are conclusive for both HIV1 and 2, "even with all other mentioned conditions".

This makes no difference.  Test results always overrule symptoms.

Welcome to the forum.  Thanks for your question.

Before even reading the question itself, responding to the title:  Autoimmune disorders have no effect on HIV test reliability.  If you have tested negative for HIV long enough after your last possible exposure -- 4-6 weeks, depending on the specific test(s), the results are reliable, regardless of whatever autoimmune problem you may have.

Now I have read the question.  In addition to the above, all concerns about HIV test reliability are only relevant to the antibody tests.  You also had at least one PCR test for HPV DNA.  There is no possibilty it was affected by an autoimmune disorder.  You have been seriously over tested, wasting a lot of money on tests you didn't need.  Your positive ANA test, vitamin D test result, tonsillectomy, medications, or other health conditions are irrelevant.  There are NO medical conditions known to change the reliability of HIV test results.

Therefore, your tests are conclusive.  You do not need any other testing at 90 days, 6 months, or any other time.

So stop worrying.  You're fine.  Don't have any more tests.
