Fingered in Anus

Dear doctor,

I understand getting my anus fingered is not risky. But a few clarifications to make
(a) FRESH blood from cuts in her hand/fingers enter cuts/opening in and inside my anus..will this be a risk?

(b) If I have a pre-existing STD (Herpes, syphilis etc) and there is an ACTIVE lesion/ ACTIVE rash/ Active lesion inside my anus…if fresh blood from her hand/finger were to come in contact with them, would this be a risk?

(c) If she herself as such STDS (herpes, syphilis) and blood, fluid or whatever discharge from the Active lesion, Active rash/Active sore were to touch come in contact with the  ACTIVE STD lesion/rash/sore in my anus…will it be a risk?

(d) if the conditions described in B and C were to happen when I am receiving hand job (I am uncircumcised)?

(e) if the conditions described in B an C occurs when I am the giver (as in ME fingering someone’s anus/vagina)
?

(d) Are there any other circumstance where getting fingered in the anus or receiving handjob would be a risk? I do not practice intercourse and stick with mutual masturbation. So I would like to be certain that this is safe UNDER ALL CIRCUMSTANCE.

Welcome back to our forum.  I will address your questions in a moment but first let me comment on your request for 100% assurance that the activities that you mention do not put you at any risk for HIV or other STIs.  Please realize that we VERY frequently get questions asking if different types of exposures or prevention measures are 100% effective.  The answer to that is that this is scientifically impossible.  For a variety of mathematical reasons far too complex to go into here, all one can do with well conducted scientific studies is estimate probabilities.  By definition, any estimate, cannot ever be 100% certain because of the incredibly low possibility that someone will get HIV through a previously undescribed mechanism tomorrow.  On the other hand, when Dr. Handsfield or I say that something is virtually zero, very close to no risk, or of minimal risk, or use any other term to indicate a very small risk, that means "close to zero" in a world where zero cannot be attained.  The same is true with ALL forms of masturbation.  Masturbation is a virtually no risk event, even when a partner has an STI.  With this let me try to address your concerns:

a) FRESH blood from cuts in her hand/fingers enter cuts/opening in and inside my anus..will this be a risk?

There is no known risk with this situation.  Numerous persons have had anal masturbation by partners who have cuts, sores or scratches on their fingers yet there are no known instances in which HIV or other STIs have been transmitted this way.

(b) If I have a pre-existing STD (Herpes, syphilis etc) and there is an ACTIVE lesion/ ACTIVE rash/ Active lesion inside my anus…if fresh blood from her hand/finger were to come in contact with them, would this be a risk?

This is another of your "what if" questions. the answer is the same as for question A above.

(c) If she herself as such STDS (herpes, syphilis) and blood, fluid or whatever discharge from the Active lesion, Active rash/Active sore were to touch come in contact with the  ACTIVE STD lesion/rash/sore in my anus…will it be a risk?

See A above.

(d) if the conditions described in B and C were to happen when I am receiving hand job (I am uncircumcised)?

Same answer, no known risk

(e) if the conditions described in B an C occurs when I am the giver (as in ME fingering someone’s anus/vagina) ?

Persons have acquired both herpes and syphilis through contact of their fingers with a partner's active herpes or syphilis lesions.  This is extraordinarily rare.

(d) Are there any other circumstance where getting fingered in the anus or receiving handjob would be a risk?

See comments above.

My sense is that you are manufacturing/imagining "what if" situations that you do not know occur.  This serves no useful purpose.  My advice is to use reasonable care in choosing your partners, even those who are commercial sex workers, take appropriate precautions, and do your best not to worry with these silly, "what if" questions- they serve no purpose and are really a waste of your time.  EWH

Your questions get sillier as you proceed.  This will be my final answer to these repetitive, anxiety driven questions

1) For question (A) even if fresh blood from her finger/hand enter bleeding cut/opening in my anus...there is still no risk...
What part of no risk is hard to understnadd.  See above.

(2) Is prostrate massage same as getting fingered in Anus...will there be any risk in getting prostrate massage?
Prostate massage may be a form of masturbation.  My earlier comments also apply to prostate massage.

(3) Can I take that as long as I stick to mutual masturbation, I need not worry about HIV and other STIS?
Repetitive.  Please see my earlier answers.

Further questions will be deleted without comment.  EWH
