HIV on Fingering

Good evening doctor,

There are few question i would like to ask you, i did read the forum alot and i kind of feel relieve, excuse me for asking a similar question but your response will be much appreciate.

I check everything to make sure i am all safe before fingering this girl who i met at a club in shen zen, when i fingering her i massage the top of the vigina where she pee, when i went home i find out i had a cut, not a large cut but a cut u can still see has some blood on it, i was wondering the risk of getting hiv since i can still see a very slightly blood on the cut, is about one cm long. ------- that's about right on the length on the finger.

I read a cut as long as it is not fresh is still okay, i was wondering if a cut not deep and cut it maybe 25-30 minute before i finger her, is that consider a fresh cut?

I did become sick and soar throat exactly a week after the fingering, was okay after two days and felt sick again for a week..... this i become scare.

Doctor, thank you for your patience, what are my risk and do you think i need testing?

Does ARS syptom usually involver large swollen gland or lymph nodes ( i didn't have that and no rash).....

You're over-analyzing. There are no data to answer the question in the detail you request.  Nobody is known to have been infected with HIV by fingering and you're not likely to be the first.

Re-read my reply above.  That's all for this thread.

Thank you doctor for your comment

When i say 25 minute, i mean to ask i read some past forum where they said they have deep cut, and i remember reading you said once the skin is cut the body will cure itself and during that time once the body cure itself the hiv cant' get it.

The past forum was saying about a deep cut so i was saying if a cut is not deep, maybe a bit deeper than a paper cut, will the 25 -30 minute long, the body already is curing itself?

Thanks reading similar qeustions before asking your own.

If you really had a fresh, bleeding cut at the time you fingered your partner, and if she had HIV, your risk is higher than with most fingering events.  But still very low.  There are no data to say exactly what the risk might be 25 minutes after an injury.   In any case, it is unlikely your partner had HIV.

HIV symptoms don't usually start only 7 days after exposure, and the illness lasts 1-2 weeks; symptoms usually do not come and go.  Enlarged lymph nodes often are present in acute HIV infection, but not in all cases.  Other things are much more common causes of sore throat and lymph node inflammation.

This is not something you should be especially worried about.  But if you remain nervous about it, have an HIV test.
