Itchy after possible exposure

Hi Docs, I have a concern and need some good advice. I have seen the many posts and hate to ask but I had a unprotected sexual encounter with a female. 2 weeks post exposure developed an itchy chest, localized to that area. No real rash but some redness. I was tested at 14 weeks via rapid blood (finger-stick), I also was tested for syphilis. I have now experienced the itchiness once more 2 weeks after my test. Do you think the itchiness is related to my encounter? And do you believe that my 14 week test is sufficient? Thank you for your time.

the 13 week result is conclusive.  That ends this thread.  EWH

Thanks Dr.
Do you know of anyone that has ever tested positive after the 13 week mark? I normally wouldn't worry about it, I just find it odd that it all happened at the same time. Thnx

Believe your test results and look for another reason for your rash.  A negative blood test 14 weeks following an exposure assures you that you do not have HIV (or syphilis for that matter). EWH
