Final answers
1.Has any on turned positive after 90 day's negative result?
Results are conclusive at 8 weeks for antibody test, thus 90 day results are conclusive as well.
2.I am having a very bad cold for the past 2 weeks and it is the worst flu I have ever got can this be due to HIV ?
The exposure you described was no risk, thus your recent illness is not ARS from the exposure you described.
3. Can antibodies be undetected at 90 days ( I have had 3 tests on the 90th day exactly )
Repetitive question- answer is the same. Antibodies to HIV are detectable in infected persons well before 90 days after exposure
4.I have had 3 to 4 times unprotected sex with my wife i fear i have given some thing to my wife?
There is no reason from what you describe to be fearful.

Thank you doctor so I will take it as no medicine will interfer the result .
Thank you for reply.
This is a repetitive question which reflects your anxiety but not the facts. i told you above your results were conclusive, so has your sister. Do you really think that repeating your questions will changethe answer- that is not the case. Further testing is a waste of time, as I said before. EWH
Hi Dr.EWH,
i am not pressurising the situvation .
My sister is working in blood bank in india as chief in her guidance only i carried out all this test's in different lab's ..she told me every test is carried out in correct time frame so no need for further testing i can go ahead with my family life.(she told me i clear after my first Cmia & Naat ) but i was not convinced.
I did not consult any doctor for this incidents ? Should i ?
are the test take on my 90th day
Rapid (which they use in blood bank )
Cmia = index value .17 ( negative)
Hiv 1 + 2 + P24 = Negative
is this correct test at that time frame.( some say P24 is not detactable late too much confusion i stopped reading the net recently)
For the past 3 months i am taking Azithromycin 500 mg + Vitamin B 12 for every alternative days as instructed by my dermatologist Due to some oil gland issue caused rashes oh my forarms.. will it have any effect on my result .
as me and my wife are planning for second kid i have immense pressure that i should not infect my wife & to be born kid .
Waiting for the reply doctor.
Welcome to the Forum. I will be glad to answer your questions. Before I do however, let me thank you for looking at other posts on our Forums. I anticipate that you will find that the answers I am about to give you are similar to those we have given to others. At the same time, let me urge you not to search the internet about HIV, HIV risk and other concerns. While I anticipate that persons writing there mean well, the fact is the information on many internet sites is often wrong or at the very least, overly conservative. There is no reason for you to test further. At this time, your tests prove that the exposure outside of your marriage that you mention did not lead to infection. Further testing is a waste of time and money.
In answer to your specific questions:
1. some websites advice confirmatory test at 6 months is necessary is it so ?
This is overly conservative and causes persons to worry far longer than they need to. The results of 4th generation tests such as you have had are conclusive 4 weeks (28 days) after an exposure.
2. am i clear ( i know you reply will be way over tested waste of money )
Yes, you are clear and you are correct, further testing is a waste of money.
3. I have been using chewable tobacco drug for 12 years (indian type ) will it affect my result
No, chewing tobacco will have no effect on your test results.
4. I am not sure i have any immune deficency
This should not concern you. Persons with significant immunodeficiency know it long before they are adults.
5. can i have normal sex life unprotected with my wife
Yes, there is no reason related to the exposure that you mention to worry about unprotected sex with your wife.
I hope these comments are helpful to you. EWH
