Should i worry?

Hello doctor,

I will make myself brief. Yestarday i had an encounter with a CSW. What worries me is that she rubbed her vagina against my penis without a condom for about 5 minutes. She was wet but there was NO penetration. Afterwards she gave me condom protected oral sex.

Am i at risk for HIV?
Should i even worry and test?

Thank you very much for your time.

Welcome to our Forum.  You do not know that your partner had HIV- most commercial sex workers do not have HIV or other STIs and even when they do, even most unprotected exposures do not lead to infection.  The events you describe did not put you at risk for HIV.  HIV is sexually transmitted in adults only through unprotected intercourse.  That she rubbed her vagina against your penis did not put you at risk for HIV, even if her genital secretions got onto your penis.  Similarly there is no risk for HIV from receipt of oral sex- whether or not it is condom protected.  There are no scientifically proven cases in which persons got HIV from receipt of oral sex.

I see no need for concern, no need for testing and no need for you to abstain from sex with your wife.

I hope this comment is helpful to you.  EWH
