This is a different questions

Hi Doctors, I will keep my question short, but it is a different one. I had 2 exposures with csw's over the last year, got tested with DNA PCR with antibody at 1.5 months and 3 months. Also tested Oraquick saliva test at 4 months all negative. My questions is that I am a chemist and I work in a pharma lab, would you be aware of any chemicals that I may be exposed to that would cause these tests to be false negatives? Thank you for your time.

There are no medicines (with the posssible exception of very potent chemotherapy) and to my knowledge no known chemical exposures that could possibly alter the reliability of HIV testing.  And no plausible scientific reason to suspect it is possible.  Your test results are completely reliable.

I knew that's what you meant. My response stands.

Hi doctor, I am the person who posted the question about chemical exposure affecting HIV tests, I was thinking more along the lines of chemicals delaying seroconversion or causing someone to not produce antibodies. Thank you so much again for your time.
