Your exposures were masturbation and no one has ever gotten HIV from masturbation, whether they are circumcised or not. Please be aware that it is very common for small amounts of genital secretions to be shared between partners in the course of masturbation but that despite that, HIV transmission does not occur. As for your questions:
1. This was a no risk exposure.
2. See above.
3. No, you do not need to be tested for this exposure.
Take care. EWH
Thank you Dr. Hook for the comforting assurance. Is it the lack of secretion amount or the exposure to air that you are so confident that my exposure is a none-risk. Do I understand you correctly? Absolutely NOOO RISK.
Thank you
Sorry one more add-on. The fact that I have the contamination fluid inside the condom, therefore not exposed to air, does that change anything. Thank you again.
No risk means no risk. The "contamination" inside the condom does not change this. No risk. EWH
Thank you. Those are the words I needed to hear. I will calm down and move on.
To: Dr. Hook,
I am sorry just some facts I want to confirm with you. After reading many other posts on this website, is it my understanding that:
1) HIV is a very difficult virus to catch and the ONLY way a person can get the virus in the regards of sexual contact is through UNPROTECTED vagina and anal PENETRATION?
2) My concerns regarding the fluid come in contact with the inside on the condom is just not the way HIV is spread? NEVER!!!
3) Everyone who didn't put themselves in the position of UNPROTECTED PENETRATION SEX should not even worry about any possible risk? ALL the CRAZY "WHAT IF" type questions are just pointless self torture?
4) Bottom line NO PENETRATION - NO RISK 100%?
Thank you Doctor for your time and for educating the public about the fact or the fiction about this disease.
When the Dr. says no risk.... that means none. You have a 0% chance of catching HIV from what you describe according to ALL known data.
Your statemetns above are correct for you and your questions have been answered and repeatingthem will not change the answer. This thread is over. EWH
