Disregard these questions and any others that may come to mind.  There is nothing you can think of that would change my opinion or advice, so stop asking.  Accept the reasoned, science based reassurance you have had and stop trying to convince me you might have HIV. You do not.  Move on.  Thread over.

The amount of risk at the time of the exposure, and your symptoms, are irrelevant.  Test results overrule symptoms and exposure.  Your test results prove you don't have HIV and that something else is causing the symptoms.  See your doctor about it if you remain concerned.

I haven't a clue what might be causeing your symptoms, but your negative test proves it isn't HIV.  Continue to work with your doctor about it.  But do not ask again on this thread, and do not post a new question about it on this forum.  If you do, the entire thread will be deleted without reply.

I'm sorry to hear you are so frightened by your very first sexual experience.  There is no need -- you had safe sex!  If you remain concerned, carefully re-read my replies above.

You are passed the window period for the test you had.  The result is 100% reliable.  Stop worrying about it.

Welcome to the forum.  Thanks for your question.

This was a no-risk exposure. Condoms work, so no concern about the vaginal sex. And even without a condom, oral sex almost never transmits HIV. Your symptoms sound like a minor cold virus, allergy, etc, and certainly not HIV.

But most important, the tests you had prove conclusively that you did not acquire HIV.  The duo test alone, any time more than 4 weks after exposure, is 100% reliable.  There are no drugs that have any effect on HIV test reliability, with the possible exceptions of potent chemotherapy or immunosuppressive drugs. Antibiotics and vaccines for sure have no effect.

So all is well. You were not infected and do not require any further testing.  If you have a regular partner, you can safely continue your usual sexual practices without any risk of HIV transmission.

I hope these comments are helpful. Best wishes– HHH, MD
