hiv transmission

Dear Doctors,

I recently got married and was excited to party. I was out with some friends got a little wild
danced with a girl and started dancing close to the girl a little rubbing but with clothes on and touching on top of her shorts not inside but touched her breasts. kissed her neck more of a peck only no lips no kissing no fingering
again just touching a little dirty dancing but touched her breasts... Im sas that I did it and guilty. I dont know her status can I get anything with this interaction should I get tested? I have been tested before andbeen a loyal relationship..

From my first reply:  "You obviously have a serious misunderstanding about HIV transmission.  It requires direct blood exposure, e.g. by transfusion or sharing injection equipment; or penetration of a penis into a vagina, rectum or (rarely) mouth.  That's all, no exceptions."  It's OK to ask "for clarification", but not to ignore what I have already said!

Of course not!  STDs are ONLY transmitted in the ways I mentioned above.  Here is a thread that explains the biological reasons for this:       http://www.medhelp.org/posts/show/1119533

Welcome to the forum.

You obviously have a serious misunderstanding about HIV transmission.  It requires direct blood exposure, e.g. by transfusion or sharing injection equipment; or penetration of a penis into a vagina, rectum or (rarely) mouth.  That's all, no exceptions.  The virus cannot be transmitted by the trivial, superficial contact described here.  You do not need testing and if you have a regular sex partner, you can safely continue unprotected sex without putting her (or him) at risk.

Best wishes--  HHH, MD

hey man, if you read over several of the earlier posts on here I think you'll get an idea of what they will say. there isn't any risk at all of hiv transmission from what you're describing. you need body fluids, at the very least.
