HIV Risk - Transexual encounter

Hi - yesterday I went to see a transexual SW and I performed protected oral sex on her (condom). I also gave her a hand job and did lick her breasts. All of that happened in about 30 minutes. There was no penetrative sex during our encounter. My clothes were on and she did not touch on any part of my body. Was I exposed to any sort of risk (HIV) by doing that? Should I get tested? I can remember she putting the condom on but I cannot stop thinking if anything went wrong with the condom....it was a very stupid thing and I also would like to know if i can continue my normal sex life with my girlfriend...thank you.

Hello,
Thank you for your post and welcome to our forum.
I can assure you that none of the sexual practices that you engaged with would have posed any risk of HIV infection or any other STD.  Therefore there is no need for you to worry.  There is no need for you to get tested either.
Best wishes,
Dr José

I know it may sound paranoic but as it was the first that i did oral on a penis i am worried i could have hurt her penis with my toth. If i that happen and also the condom was broke somehow could i become in risk due to any bleeding? If i was able to see any problem with the condom? The condom she was wearing was red só it could hide any sign of blood....

Thats a good thing....I am just thinking why some websites keep saying that there is risk on that (lower than vaginal or anal sex)....this is an unservice to all...

Thank you getitright....I keep thinking things like if my oral health is not that ok (it's been a while since the last time i saw a dentist) or if the condom had any small hole....thinking rationally and reading your posts, I believe i could move on since it was a very brief exposure...but my fears are huge...o don't want to loose my family and son.....

Dr Jose has alreay provided you with the correct assessment. You had no risk which ever way you look at the situation. Many Hiv experts would agree that oral sex is a zero risk activity for Hiv transmission.Accept the facts and get on with life. You are fine to carry on a normal sex life with your girlfriend. All the best.

It may be false positive. However if you had any recent sexual exposure like unprotected vaginal/anal sex or  needle sharing then you have test after 3 months after exposure for conclusive results.

Thank you very much for your answer. I have been reading here and there in the Internet that penetrative oral sex can (sucking) can carry only a small theorical risk of 0,04%. I know this is not my case but just to educate myself, if I would have performed oral sex without condom in a HIV+ male without ejaculation, how bad that would in terms if infection risk? under this situation would I be in a risky situation where testing would be required? This is the only follow up question about my td.

Hi MD, please have a look over my message. The guilty I am feeling is driving me nuts. I am getting more and more worried about what I did figuring different scenarios of how could I being infected with something (HIV and/or STD)...I have a girlfriend and I am scare with the possibility of passing on anything to her. Just complementing one thing in my original post: the transexual did not ejaculate so I believe I did not get in contact with her semem. As she was wearing a condom, I  understand it was also impossible getting in contact with ther pre***, right? I appreciate your attention again.
