Hi, I had unprotected anal and vaginal sex with a friend he did not ejack in me.  I had a HIV1/2 reflex to Western Blot 3 weeks and 4 weeks after exposer.  Does this hiv test a this time frame give you a good idea of what it is?  I talked to him and he said that he is clean but he is 39 and single.  Help me please I am so scared.

Am I correct in saying that a 4th generation anti body test is the same as the WB described above? Also, is it conclusive after 8 weeks?

Hello,
Thank you very much for your post.  Your negative test results, even though highly reassuring, they are not fully conclusive.  You would need a HIV Duo (including the p24antigen) after 4 weeks, or the tests that you have already had at least after 8 weeks of the sexual intercourse.
