Dr.Gonzalez can you please respond to my last couple of comments?
Can someone please respond to the other parts of my questions please???
I maybe a little off with the timing of the weeks but its somewhere between 7 and 8 weeks. Also I neglect to mention that I slept with this same young lady about 3 weeks ago but I dont know if that makes a difference or not.
I took an Hiv test last week friday and im waitingng on the results. How long does it normally take for results to come back.
Sorry but also forgot to mention Ive been very fatigue.
Also what are the major symptoms of HIV?
Hello,
Thank you very much for your post and welcome to our forum.
All the symptoms that you describe are non-specific and they could be consistent with many conditions, including infections. The most likely explanation is that you probably have some sort of viral infection. I think it is highly unlikely to be HIV sero-conversion, even though the symptoms could be those of sero-conversion, the timing is not typical. They would not continue happening after eight weeks from the possible exposure. They most commonly would happen between 2 and 6 weeks after, and would usually inlcude fever, sore throat, a maculo-papular rash, palpable lymph nodes, diarrhoea, night sweats, malaise, etc.
I think what you need to have is a HIV Duo test now, so that you can have complete peace of mind.
Kind regards,
Dr José
