Friend got a unit of blood today, is this is good sign??

is this a good sign? Lastnight the Dr told us there was nothing more they could do w a cd4 of 3. He advised his mother to take him home and let him pass there. Yet today they are giving him blood. This is all so CONFUSING. I dont think anyone knows what they are talking about. Please help......... and they took him off the Atb

well it was a hospitalist, but he has seen an infectious disease dr a few times now. This is just all too weird. And to make matters worse The family dont want anyone to know so its VERY hush hush, and i dont think the right questions are being asked. I dont know Lizzie nobody wants to address ANYTHING. This all happened so quick. And he looks SO bad. They weighed him at 82 pounds today. But is giving him the blood a good sign?? He did open his eyes to me today, and reached for my hand:(
