Since you have access to leading doctors and researchers, it would be absolutely redundant to come to an online forum and look for answers.
We wish you good luck.
Hi, welcome to our forum.
I am sorry to learn that you have tested positive. I would also want to tell you that with the advancement of biotechnology and medical science; being HIV positive is not the end of the world, it is absolutely manageable like any other chronic disease like diabetes. You should take your ART medication diligently to achieve undetectable viral load, in such scenario you will be able to have unprotected sex with out transmitting the virus. Also, your partner has the option of PrEP, should you both decide to enjoy unprotected sex going further. We have a "Living with" forum here on this board, you can certainly access resources from there also you could communicate with members.
The only potential exposure is unprotected anal or vaginal sex or sharing needles with people who inject drugs or through blood transfusion and nothing else in your case. Therefore, you will have to figure what made you contract the virus.
If you need any further information on testing, you could feel free to write back or PM me. I will try and extend the best I can.
Good luck.
