Hiv risk question/bleeding cut

I'm not sure if this is a risk for transmission or not. Some sites say cut to cut touching could transmit hiv. Here's what happened. I had a body massage from a male escort. I had a couple of scabs on my leg that pulled off when he was rubbing and they started to bleed a lot. He got my blood on his hands. I don't know if he had any fresh cuts on his own hands or not. I didn't realize that he had pulled the scabs off and he rubbed right there with his hands for probably a minute. If he did and he was hiv positive could he have transmitted hiv to me? I'm worried that he somehow might have had some of his own blood on his hands and it entered me. We did not have oral or anal.

Even if there was a bleeding cut, there would be no risk.  Yes, it is safe to have unprotected sex with your partner.  EWH

Thanks dr.  I was worried that if he had a bleeding cut on his hand and it rubbed into the bleeding cut on my leg he could transmit hiv to me if he had it.  So it's safe for me to resume unprotected sex with my partner? Thanks.

Welcome to our Forum.  I am pleased to tell you that this is not an event you need to worry about.  for starters, it is unlikely that your masseuse had HIV- most men, even men who have sex with other men, do not have HIV.  Second, you do not know that he had cuts on his hands.  Finally and most importantly, this sort of surface contact does not lead to HIV transmission,  If anything, your blood was going out from the cuts and scrapes, his was not going in.  there are no instances in which HIV has been shown to be transmitted in the manner that you describe.  

I see no reason for concern and no reason for testing.  EWH.
