Hello Doctor,
i just got my results back and it was negative for Hiv and chlamydia.
I feel so relieved and happy, i can go on now.
Thanks for your comments/advice.
Symptoms are not a very good indicator of HIV risk. Your DUO test result on the other hand, at 4 weeks will give you definitive information on your infection status. Try not to worry, the statistical risk from this exposure is low. EWH
Hello doctor,
i have one more followup question.
Since the first encounter from in june didnt give me any ARS symptons and i am now starting week 4 without any symptoms(no rash, no fever,...)
Do you consider that a good sign, me not having any symptons?
i am scheduled for a duo test this thursday. then it will be 4 weeks and 1-2 days.
1. People with STDs are more likey to have HIV than peole who do not. But the best way to find out about HIV is to test for it.
2. Your risk of HIV from 3 encounters is low.
3. Obviously I cannot tell you if she was tested or not.

Doc,
if i do get an STD test and its negative; the chance of having attracted hiv is smaller no?
i have read a lot of questions on this website. almost every day.
the chance of getting hiv from these 3 times occassions is low?
the girl was recently operated due to a ingrown hair. she had a lot of fever during that period caused by that follicle. so i might assume doctors took her blood then to see what was going on.
the problem is i cant contact her now. her cellphone has been off for a week. this troubles me even more.
i am going crazy
Welcome to our Forum. To summarize, you are in an ongoing relationship with a woman who is at higher than average risk for having both HIV and STDs. She has told you that she does not have HIV but you remained concern. My advice is to address your concern directly and for both you and your partner to go and get tested for both HIV and for other STDs. If she is negative, you are not at risk and have no need to worry at this time. The alternative is for you to get tested for STDs (you could do this now) and to wait at least 8 weeks after your last exposure for HIV testing so that you can get definitive information about HIV (at 8 weeks test results with a standard HIV antibody test are definitive, if you are tested with the combination HIV p24 antigen/HIV antibody test your results will be definitive at 4 weeks) but this strategy seems to really not address your concerns if this is an ongoing relationship. These concerns can only be addressed through both of you being tested.
The symptoms you describe, i.e. both the spot on your leg and the canker sore do not suggest HIV. Symptoms are not helpful in evaluation for HIV, you need to have tests.
STDs can be present in both men and women without symptoms. That is the reason I suggested testing above.
I hope these comments are helpful. EWH
