Both of the experiences you describe fall within the category of mutual masturbation. There is no risk from any part of this exposure.
You do not mention whether or not your partner was HIV infected or not. In all likelihood he was not. You should ask him. EWH
Drs -
I am unsure as well if my partner had any cuts on his hand during this process. Please acknowledge that you have taken this comment when you formulate your opinion.
I just want to sleep soundly tonight and I promise - no follow up and what if posts.
Sorry doctors, one last final post, I promise.
The whole situation happened in a dark room. What if there was blood on his hands, say if there was a cut on his hand and it happened in the process. Would this put me at a risk and change your advice?
Thank you Dr. Hook for the reply.
What if though there was a cut on his hand that was relatively fresh and it led to blood on his hands and a transfer of his blood into me when he inserted his hand in my anus!
Thank you.
For starters, this is an unrealistic situation and not something to worry about. If you cannot stop worrying, wait until 6 weeks after your event, then get a test. It will be negative and you can stop worrying. Still no risk. I have little more to add. EWH
Thank you Dr. Hook for your advice. I have one question though.
In the original post I wrote "HOWEVER, I am worried because he inserted his hands as well into my anus/rectum. He did this as he had his fluids (ie - semen) on his hands". With regards to the "(ie - semen)" I intended to say that he had semen as his fluids on his hands. I did not want you to read it as the "-" as a not.
Did you response to the above answers include the fact that semen was the fluid that was present on my partners hands that he inserted into my anus/rectum?
Follow up:
It was BOTH semen AND presemen that was on his hands and he inserted his hands in my anus/rectum.
Do any of my last two posts change your original opinion or advice?
After reading my two above posts in addition to this one, if you were to say something like this, I would move on - Yes I realize there was semen and presemen on his hands and he inserted his hands in your anus/rectum. This doesn't change my opinion. No risk.
Only say that though doctor, if you believe it. I'm just concerned if you took into fact that there was semen, presemen, genitcal secretitions on his hands that he inserted in my anus.
I suffer from OCD and obviously it is being displayed here.
I am on medication, and I will be able to move on if you say something like that to reassure me one last time.
Sorry doc,
If you could say something like this this (if you are in agreement with this only), I will never post again and move on:
Yes I realize there was his genital secretions such as pre-semen and semen his hands and he inserted his hands in your anus/rectum. This doesn't change my opinion. No risk.
Please focus on your OCD, not HIV because you are not at risk for HIV. I am aware that he had genital secretions (semen and pre-ejaculate) on his hands. This does not change my opinion. No risk!! EWH
