Welcome to the Forum.  This was a low risk exposure.  Most commercial sex workers do not have HIV or other STDs and even when they do, most unprotected exposures do not result in infection.  The use of a condom makes any single exposure, if your partner happened to be infected, change from relatively low risk to virtually no risk.  The fact that your partner may have been menstruating or that you had recent cuts or scrapes on your penis does not change this.  If you wore the condom throughout your penetrative encounter with this partner, there was no risk for HIV and no need to test.

Hope this comment is helpful.  EWH

Hi Doc,

Got the results, the report says the following

"Non Reactive(0.379)

Cutoff rate is 1.0 (Test performed by ECLIA)

Please note that this is a screening test for HIV Combi (Combination of HIV p24 antigen and anti HIV antibody 1&2), performed on fourth generation ECLIA Cobas 6000(e601) utilizing electrochemiluminescence immunoassay "

Non reactive is good enough for me...rest i dont understand.

Thanks for your input, the 3 month test is okay and also for the recent encounter i dont need any testing. This puts me at ease.

Thanks again for your responses.

No, in the absence of lesions (as opposed to redness) there is no need for HSV blood testing.   In addition to the absence of lesions, the location of your rash/redness is atypical for HSV- over 85% of HSV lesions in men occur towards the end of the penis with most of the remainder occurring on the penile shaft.  EWH

okay thank you so much...my testicles are very irritated along with underside of the penis and seems as something swollen bumps on the underside of the skin as well. but I understand there is nothing to worry about as you say...i did however have a stupid unprotected sex encounter with another high risk partner about 3 months ago and i have taken the HIV ELISA test and expect results tomorrow...fingers crossed...should i also go for an HSV2 test due to the tingling, redness in my testicles?...

Okay, I did wear a condom throughout but just for some more clarity, the cuts were at the base of the penis which is not covered as well as the testicles, some blood may have touched there and I washed it off quickly...and since the day the pores have become red too...with a tingling sensation
