Now I'm worried that I have swollen lymph nodes in my neck.
When I feel my neck, I can feel two "ball" shaped things on both sides of it, in roughly the same places. When I look at my neck, there's no noticeable swelling, though.
My mom suggested that it could be my thyroid glands, but I've looked at several diagrams since, and the "balls" seem to be too high up in my neck.
Any ideas?
Before I even read your extremely long question--which I only have time to skim anyway--I will respond to the title you chose for this thread. If you have had a negative HIV test at least a few weeks after your last possible HIV exposure (6-12 weeks, depending on how risky your situation), then whatever symptoms you have are not due to HIV.
Now having looked at your question, I have just 4 brief replies. 1) You could not have acquired HIV from the events you describe. 2) Your symptoms do not hint at HIV; intermittent headaches and muscle aching are not HIV symptoms. 3) You have had negative HIV tests. 4) You have been reassured by your doctor(s).
Continue to follow up with your personal health care provider if you remain concerned. All indications are that your problem is primarily psychological, but that is not my area of expertise, so I will not have any further comments.
Best wishes-- HHH, MD
