Welcome to our Forum. I'll address your questions. Before I do however, let me point out that if you ask these questions of different sources, and particularly of different on-line sources, you will get different answers. Some sources including most governmental agencies, provide general recommendations for virtually everyone without the sort of interactions such as those you get with your doctor or on personalized sites such as this one. Many of these sources feel they cannot "afford" to be wrong and therefore make overly conservative recommendations and guidelines which leave most people unnecessarily nervous for 4-6 weeks longer than the 6-8 weeks it takes virtually everyone to develop HIV antibodies. The fact is that there are no well documented cases in which HIV has clearly been transmitted through oral sex.
In your own case, you have a single exposure from a partner who is quite unlikely to have HIV. Even if she did however there is no reason to worry that you might have gotten HIV from this exposure and no reason for testing related to the events you describe.
I hope this information is helpful. EWH
Not you should not worry. Acid reflux is not a sign of HIV and is more likely to be a manifestation of anxiety than anything else. You've had it before, I would not worry about it an would suggest you manage it in the same that you have previously. EWH
Dear Doctor ,
now i have acid reflux like symptoms in the throat and pain in neck. That happened last year also. As you have already answered that chnances of getting hiv thru insertive oral sex is zero. should i not be worried about it.
