Potential HIV Exposure

Hi there,
I had a massage at, what I can best describe as, a sketchy massage place.  The female masseuse at one point inserted her finger into her vagina and then, a split second later, was rubbing my penis, including the tip with that same hand. I didn't think much of it until a day or two later and, now, after researching online am thinking I might be at risk for HIV exposure, however slight.  In your assessment, am I at any risk for HIV exposure?  If not, do I need to be on the look out for any other problems?
Thanks in advance.
Kevin

Welcome to the Forum.  It will be my pleasure to answer your question and to try to correct the misperception that the internet has created.  Unfortunately, for all the great information that is present on the internet, there is as much or perhaps even more misinformation on the "net", particularly when it comes to HIV and other STIs.

HIV is transmitted in adults ONLY through genital or ano-genital sexual contact or by injection of infected materials deep into tissue.  it is not transmitted by receipt of oral sex or by transfer of genital secretions from person to person through hand to genital contact.

Regarding your risk, even at a "sketchy" massage parlor where the masseuses may be commercial sex workers, most are not infected with HIV.  Even if your masseuse, was, there is no risk for infection from any of the activities you describe.

There is no reason for concern, no reason for testing and if you have a regular partner, no reason to worry about unprotected sexual contact with your regular partner related to the events that you describe.

I hope that this comment is helpful.  EWH
