Stressed out need a second opinion

This is by far the most helpful website out of all STD sites, thank you for your honesty and helping other people.

I am a heterosexual man and about 4 weeks ago I recieved unprotected oral sex for about 10-15 minutes from a girl stripper.  This is the first sexual encounter I have ever had in my life.  I am killing myself for being so stupid that night.  I had a sore throat and runny nose 48 hours after, and I had an urge to urinate ever since.  Also, once in a while I have a weird sensation feeling at the tip of my penis.  I get checked for all STD's including HIV 10 days following the incident.  When I went back into the office she told me everything came back negative.  I am puzzled why I still have the urge to urinate often and a little sensation at the head of my penis is coming from if everything came back negative.  I know 10 days is to early to be checked for HIV, but is 10 days to early to get checked for other STD's, here are my questions

1.   Is it worth my time and money to get checked for HIV again in 3 months
2.  Should I be worried about HIV from this episode?
3. Doctor said urge to urinate might be from anxiety, or from the experience of recieving oral sex, could this be true or is there someting she couldnt find?
4. Should I get checked again for all other STDS, was 10 days too early?

Thank you for everything, this site is really helpful

Thanks for the thanks about the forum.  But you already have seen a personal provider who reassured you. I can do nothing more.  1) It isn't worth being tested for HIV/STDs at all after this exposure.  What are you going to do, go out and be tested everytime you have sex with a new partner your whole life??  Like many young people today, you have an inflated view of STD and HIV risks.  You could have the kind of exposure you describe every day until you are 60 years old and never expect to catch HIV.  2) No.  3) Your doc is exactly right.  4) No.  You didn't need testing at all, and 10 days isn't too early except for HIV, and you certainly do not need further testing.

Good luck--  HHH, MD

You can't get HIV from oral sex. You are worrying over nothing.

That being said, your post might get deleted because Dr. HHH has said ten million times that oral sex is not an HIV risk, and it even says in the forum disclaimer that posts that ask about it will be deleted. But then again, Dr. HHH is a pretty lenient guy, so he may humor you with you a response.
