Being human, Dr. Hook and I obviously do not have perfect track records either in our clinical judgments or personal lives! But we've done a pretty good job on this forum. Among roughly 9,000 questions over the 10 years since this forum started in 2004, only one questioner reported having acquired HIV after we judged the risk to be low -- and there is reason to believe that event was not accurately reported. And although it is true that men dominate the forum, women are not rare participants; I would estimate 15-20%.
