i got fever, sore throat 2 weeks after a handjob

Doctor,
I have been tested negative to all the STDs and HIV on March 1st this year.
I've been to a Chinese massage place in California on March 10th. The masseuse is from China.
At the end of the massage, she gave a handjob. While I was climaxing (cumming), she pressed hard on my urethra. Also, I might have had a cut on my penis as I remember shaving my pubic area around that time ( I don't remember the time frame - it could either be on the same day morning or the next day).

On March 23rd (13 days later), I was heavily drunk. The next day I woke up with a sore throat and hangover. Besides sore throat, I got fever by the evening of that day.

The fever and sore throat went away in 2 days.

What made me worried is that I never got any fever in the last 2 years. I have read many of your posts saying that getting a handjob is not considered a risk for HIV.

[1] As the masseuse pressed hard on my urethra while I was cumming, is there any chance of getting HIV/STDs from her finger into my urethra?

Lymph node swelling is a non-specific finding an in your case is not relatee to the fact that you received masturbation 8 weeks ago.   I repeat, you did not get HIV from receipt of masturbation.

Now 8 weeks after this possible exposure, I see a couple of red colored bumps on the neck near my ear - the cervical lymph nodes are swollen.

I am extremely terrified now after looking at them.

Can swollen lymph nodes appear 8 weeks after hiv exposure?

Thaks for the clarification.  This does not change my assessment however- the chance that your acquired HIV through masturbation remains virtually zero.

No, HIV is not spread in this way.  It dies quickly on inanimate objects such a bed sheets and is not transmferred from person to person on fingers or hands.

No, not ever.  Nor have there been reports of HIV transmitted this way in the sceintific literature.

Fever and sore throat are some of the symptoms of the ARS but the ARS also includes severe muscle/joint aches, diarrhea and a rash. Further, when it has been studied, less than1% of persons with ARS-type symptoms turn out to have HIV- the rest have the sort of "every day", community acquired viruses that most peole get from time to time.

I repeat, you did not get HIV from receipt of masturbation.  This is not something to worry about.  EWH

I live in California and there is no travel involved between the exposure  and the onset of fever and sore throat. When I visited my doctor about this fever, she mentioned that it could probably be a VIRAL infection. This really panicked me (since HIV is also a VIRUS) as I recalled the incident that occurred 2 weeks ago, and I am still literally scared thinking what I was going through could be ARS.

She was fully covered and so, didn't have any visible genital secretions on her hand.

Welcome to our Forum.  I'll be happy to comment. The short answer is that there is NO risk from receipt or giving masturbation to a sexual partner, even when you get each other's genital secretions on one another and even if you have cuts or abrasions on your genitals either at the time of masturbation or which occur during the process.  There is no reason for concern or testing for HIV or for other STDs related to masturbation.

From the sounds of things, between your travel schedule and associate drinking etc, it is far more likely that your symptoms are related to some other sort of travel related, non STD travel related illness than to your visit to the masseuse.  Further I would add that it is a fact that most masseuses, even those who are commercial sex workers do not have HIV or other STDs and even when infected, even genital intercourse does not lead to infection on most exposures.  I would not worry.

In answer to your specific questions:

No, this is not a concern. You may have traumatized (bruised) your penis or urethra with this but STD is not a concern.
