giving oral to woman

a couple of months ago I gave oral sex to a sex worker in aruba. We didn't have sex because of no condom and she would not give me oral for the same. I was drinking heavy and she only spoke spanish, but I asked her the best I could if we had sex that night and she said no. She also asked me the next mourning if I had a condom so we could have sex, I didn't so we didn't. I had an HIV test done @ 4 weeks and was negative. Should I let it go, or is there still some risk?

You're asking me to repeat "You can safely let it go" in different words.  Did you think I might have changed my mind?

Welcome to the HIV forum.

There is little or no risk here.  HIV is difficult to transmit by oral sex, and all known oral sex transmission events involved fellatio (oral-penile contact).  HIV has never been known to be transmitted by cunnlingus (oral-vaginal sex).  And although HIV isn't rare in the Caribbean, it isn't all that common in sex workers there; and when a sex worker insists on condom use, it usually means she knows she doesn't have HIV and intends to stay negative.  So it is unlikely your partner had HIV.

Finally, your negative test result is reassuring, even if done a little early.  Based on risk, you did not need HIV testing at all.  You can safely "let it go".
