Sorry about the meds issue, I confused you with someone asking about PEP.

As for you, the cortisone shot is irrelevant following a virtually no risk exposure.  For that matter, so is further testing.  Your 6 weeks test results are valid.  Forget abvout this expsoure and move on.  EWH

It is safe for you to have sex with your wife.

Cortisone and prednisone are both steriod medications with similar effect.  You do not have HIV.  Your tests prove that the very low risk exposure you mentioned did not give you HIV.  It is time for you to move on.

this will end this thread.  Further questions will not be answered and will be delted without comment.  EWH

Welcome to the Forum. You do not have HIV and do not need medication.  The quoted figure for HIV risk, if one has oral sex with an infected partner is less than 1 in 10,000 and, in my estimation that is too high. Some experts state there is no risk at all from oral sex.  Neither of us on this site have ever seen or reading the medical literature of a convincing instance in which HIV was passed by oral sex.

The combination of the very, very low risk of HIBV and your negative blood tests at this time indicate that you have nothing to worry about.  No need for further testing.   EWH
