Please Dr.HHH I want (YOUR) answer

Dear Dr. HHH .

I read most of your posts here and I will feel very very very fine if I recive your reply .

Here is my story .

I had a sexual exposure in april 2008 and it was protected using a condom , and there was some neck kissing and touching for the vagina . The pentration was only for 1 minet . I went to the bathroom and I removed the condom and noticed that my semen was in the top of it . but I am really afraid if there was any microscopic hols or any hols I didn't notice .

I know you will say my risks are low but I really feel bad when I remember that my life could be distroied and my wife and my baby . also my family .

I had tests using Acon rapid test ( US company and its factory located in china and it has FDA Approval ) @ 4 weeks and it was negative . I also did p24 antigen test @ 4 weeks and it was negative also .
5 weeks I had IFA test and it was negative.
6,7 weeks I had Acon Rapid test for ( HIV1/2 , Syphlis, HBV and HCV ) and they all came back negative.
today I am planing to take Acon Rapid test for HIV 1/2 coz today will be 8 weeks. but I am thinking to take IFA test rether than rapid test.

So my questions are :
Do you think that the latex condom could transmait the HIV if there were tiny hols .
How accurate is the test @ 7 weeks ?
How about the accuracy of Rapid test ( let say those without FDA Approval ) ?
Do you think I need to make my 8 weeks test with rapid test or IFA or ELISA ?
Can I back to my wife and have sex with her without protection ?

PLEASE DR.HHH I need  your answer

I already told you it is impossible that you caught HIV from the exposure you describe.  You did not need testing at all.  Therefore, logic dictates that you do not need additional testing of any kind.  Yes, 8 week tests pick up about 98% of new HIV infections.  No, I never saw a patient who tested positive after a negative test at 8 weeks.

I will not have any further comments.

Since you used a condom for the brief penetration, there was no risk of HIV.  Condoms do not have microscopic leaks (and if they did it wouldn't make any difference).  Your tests are valid and you didn't catch HIV.  The answers to the specific questions are:

*  No.
*  Completely accurate.
*  Completely accurate for those with FDA approval.  Probably the same for rapid tests in other countries that might not have been evaluated by FDA, but I have no way of knowing for certain.
*  No.
*  Ssince you could not have caught HIV from the exposure you describe, I see no risk for your wife.  But I never guarantee someone isn't infected.
