Thank you for the input. I did receive an injury only at the time I didn't think much of it. My husband and I had just loaded our groceries in the van and as I started to walk away my little dog tried to jump out the back. I leaned forward really quick to catch him just as my husband slammed the tailgate on the van. It his me in the head very hard and kind of compressed my neck. It felt like whiplash for about a week and then I forgot about it. I didn't think that smelling strange odors or the weird vertigo like symptoms might be related so I am going to make an appointment right away to get checked out. I just felt funny trying to tell a doctor that I feel like i'm walking above ground or that I smell things that no one else can smell, or when I am walking I sometimes feel really really tall, like the ground is a long ways away.
When did these symptoms start? Did you have any type
of head injury or any other health condition during this time?
Do you have any previous health conditions that
might have any long term effects? All this information
would be important to discuss with a doctor.
As for right now the symptoms you are describing sound very unsafe regardless of cause. They seem similar to some types of seizures although
only a doctor could provide a definitive diagnosis. It would
be essential to seek medical help right away. If you are unable
to make an apt with a doctor or immediately or
after describing the symptoms to them when you set up the apt
they believe it is warranted you might need to go to the e.r.
so they can rule out any conditions that need immediate
follow up.
