Borderline Disorder from Multiple Concussions

My boyfriend is suffering from extreme borderline personality disorder symptoms from recent multiple concussions as he is extremely paranoid self destructive emotionally unstable and suicidal. I pray that will subside as his brain heals. Regardless I also believe that he may have already been suffering from a mild case of it from feelings of abandonment by his father as he has always been co dependent among others. He has an obsession and possessiveness with me and has a very difficult time being away from me as he is extremely jealous and paranoid despite being with me constantly. If I try to stand up against him he gets stressed out easily and can become destructive and irate even over most trivial matters. I feel trapped by fear because he gets so intense expressing temptations to hurt himself or to just end it all so I always succumb to all his demands putting my life on hold. I do not know whatelse I can do because I am enabling him further at my complete expense.

Hi!

I am sorry to hear about your boyfriend. He needs counseling and therapy. It would be good if you could arrange that through your local doctor. This would help both of you and you will feel less trapped as he recovers.  He may also need to take medications for life or for a long time. Take care!
