Hi!
Severe chronic microvascular ischemic disease is caused by a number of diseases and disorders such as diabetes, hyperlipidemia, high blood pressure, platelet aggregation, hyperviscosity syndromes, smoking, thyroid disorders etc. Since it is chronic, it happens over a long period of time and thus rarely gives rise to acute presentations. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
