Painful popping vein on temple

I've been suffering from what may be sinus migraines? not sure, but yesterday as I was washing my face, I felt pain as I rubbed my right temple.  When I looked in the mirror, there was a popping vein which when touched, hurts.  I used warm compresses this morning but it didn't help.  If I rub it lightly to dissolve whatever's in there, the area gets sore around it as well as the bump hurting.  I'm scared.  Could it be a blood clot?

Thank you!!!!!  I did go to the doctor and he said it was not serious to put some ice on it (I was putting warm compresses which was making it worse).  The ice helped and within 2 days it was better.  Thanks for your reply!

I think you should follow up with your doctor a.s.a.p. or go to ER. This doesn't sound like something to fool around with.
Best of luck, take care & be blessed.
