update!

well, im still getting told that theres nothing wrong with my head. i know its not true. they're sending me for psychiatric observation! i know im not crazy. after i had that head injury, everything has changed. and for the worse. i really dont want to live like this forever. any tips on how to improve my anger, memory problems, head aches, and voices i've been hearing? i know there has to be other head injury victims suffering like me to.

Damage to the frontal lobe of the brain causes frontal encephalomalacia. Encephalomalacia is not an illness. It is basically a softening of the brain matter as a result of an ischemia or infarction, degenerative changes, infection, craniocerebral trauma, or other injury.  Thus any damage to this lobe can lead to long term memory loss, mood swings, talking too much, and energy bursts leading to over activity. If the MRI of brain is done and it shows an injury to frontal lobe of the brain, then your behavior changes can be explained by the injury. However, otherwise, it would be wise to get a psychiatric opinion. Take care!

I was in a car accident Feb 08. I still have the memory loss, short and long term.. mood swings, headaches, voices etc... The psychiatrist tried putting me on several different kinds of meds for the 'voices', and of course it didn't work (for me), because it was TBI. At first I let this drive me bonkers, But am learning to live with it and make alot of lists (and hope I don't misplace them). I will hide things then forget where I put them, lost faces and names. People come up and start talking to me and I have NO idea who they are. I recently had an EEG and CT scan done and found damage to the left frontal lobe, I only wish they would have done that 2 years ago. You are not alone...

thanks you guys alot. i had a CT scan done. but they say theres nothing wrong. but i get another one done friday. im sooo glad i found this website. seems like all my support comes from here. im only 14. so most are saying im making up these symptoms for attention. it really *****. :\
