Need Goiter/Thyroid test - unemployed and no insurance

My family is very concerned that I may have a thyroid condition. I need to get a blood test for it to find out. No, they are not able to help me financially. I am unemployed, and do not have a cent to my name. I am not a drug addict and other than that I'd rather not get into my situation, except to say that it's miserable. I live in New York City. Do you know if a place or any way I can get this test done without insurance or immediate payment?

Dear Chris1011,

If you are just looking for help with getting tested for a condition, you may be able to use a free clinic. Below is a link to “The New York City Free Clinic”;

If you want to find out if you are eligible for Healthy NY program call 1-866-432-5849.

Sincerely,

Hi,

I'm not sure if this will help you out, but it's worth a try.  The company I work for offers healthcare discounts up to 80% and the most comprehensive package costs $59.95 per month for the ENTIRE household.  In addition to that, this company offers full or part-time work from home opportunity where you can be your own boss.  Please let me know if any of these options interest you.  Here are the links:
