16 year old need help please!

Hi, I have had pressure in the left part of my chest for about a month and had pain the first two weeks. I went to the doctor for this and she said it was costochondritis and told me not to worry about it. She gave me some injections and I felt better for about 2 weeks. The pressure feeling was there even after the injection, but the pain was gone. Just about last week, I realized I was twitching in my upper body and mostly in my stomach area. I have also been told that my thyroid levels were too high, but I don't think it has anything to do with this. Just yesterday, I started feeling soreness in my left arm only. I was thinking that would be do to playing too much tennis for one day after not having played for about a month (I am a righty by the way). Today, I woke up and started feeling slight pain in my jaw. It feels like a pimple is forming, but when I touch it, the pain dissapears and then comes back after a couple hours. I know I am not suppose to be asking for help because I am 16, but I really need some suggestions. Can someone please help? I also have no family history of heart problems and I do not take drugs nor do I smoke, any suggestions?

An overactive thyroid can cause small muscle twitches. These are called fasciculations and are not harmful. The fact that the doctor's injections relieved your pain would suggest to me that he was correct about the costochondritis. It really does not sound heart -related to me but I am not a doctor. If this is causing you alot of anxiety you should talk to your doctor and hopefully he or she will reassure you.

My suggestion is to talk to your parents and ask that they set you up an appointment with a good internist who will go over your medical history and make recommendations based on that.
