The pumping chamber, left ventricle, has dilated to compensate for the additional stress and workload of the heart. Adding to the problem there is heart wall movement impairment (hypokinesis) that reduces the contractility of the heart's pumping ability.
Grade 2 diastolic dysfunction: That indicates there is some heart wall stiffness of the pumping chamber that doesn't relax sufficiently to fill adequately (varing degrees, some stiffness) with blood/oxygen prior to pumping.
